[Synopsis] (Taken from goodreads)

Beautiful. Perfect. Dead.

In the peaceful seaside town of Cape Bonita, wicked secrets and lies are hidden just beneath the surface. But all it takes is one tragedy for them to be exposed.

The most popular girls in school are turning up dead, and Penelope Malone is terrified she’s next. All the victims so far have been linked to Penelope—and to a boy from her physics class. The one she’s never really noticed before, with the rumored dark past and a brooding stare that cuts right through her.

There’s something he isn’t telling her. But there’s something she’s not telling him, either.

Everyone has secrets, and theirs might get them killed.

(DISCLAIMER: This review is based on my opinion only and may contain coarse language)

The popular girls in school are turning up dead, and all of them were Penelope’s good friends. As more secrets and truths unravel, who is the real killer?

Monica’s writing was compelling and left you at a loss as to who was telling the truth or lying and also, the scary, scary truth and brutality behind female friendships.

I really liked that we are given a few chapters in the killer’s POV, this really left us even more confused and gave us more motivation to try harder to guess who was the killer. At any one point in the story, anyone could potentially be the killer.

Cass isn’t as weird as everyone made him out to be and has a dangerous charm.

I personally dislike murder mysterious, but this book was really addictive and I couldn’t put it down! The suspense and thrilling factor drew me into the story of Pretty Dead Girls.

This book is definitely recommended to fans of thriller and murder mystery with a slight hint of romance along the way!

I enjoyed this one! I wasn’t totally in love with it and there were a few things I didn’t like but overall it was great. I did guess who was the killer. I had two people in mind, but one scene made me really think it was a certain character. I don’t want to say here, but I was so excited in the end when I was right about the killer. I’ve been getting into thrillers lately. They seem really fun.
