Movie Review: To all the boys I’ve loved before (2018) (5 stars)

Title: To all the boys I’ve loved before (2018)

Genre: Drama, Romance

Rating: 5 stars

Lara Jean writes letters to her crushes and keeps them safe in a box, but when the letters are sent out, she has to deal with the chaos and havoc that ensues.

I was definitely excited to watch this movie since I LOVED the trilogy! Check out my review of the first book here.

The music was upbeat and the film was brightly lit.

I love that Kitty and Chris were really funny in this film. And Lara Jean is my spirit animal! I also liked that Lucas had a bigger part in the movie (If I’m not wrong).

I liked that it differed from the books, it combined both the first and second book, but the way they did it really made the movie work it’s magic on the audience. I like that they did the revelation of who mailed the letters really early on in the film and the film was more focused on how Lara Jean handled the chaos.

Lara Jean and Peter are so cute and I think the casting and execution of this movie is PERFECT! It’s definitely one of the best book to movie adaptations I’ve seen and am really glad that they didn’t destroy the legacy the book left us.

I really enjoyed the story progression and the confrontation and how the entire movie played out.
